operating systems, hardware and soft skills such as time management
and presentation skills. We also provide training needs analysis to
help deliver the training your company needs.

Description of our Service
We are a provider of computer training. The training is delivered to
groups usually of between 1 and 10, although sometimes with the
agreement of the client and trainer larger groups can be catered
for.
Training is usually delivered on the customer's site, but
alternative venues can be arranged at an additional cost.
Fees
Training fees are charged at a daily rate based on a maximum of 8
delegates on a course. Unless otherwise agreed with the client,
listed with the course information in IT Training and Business
Training.
Fees usually include the cost of all Optimise training material and
work disks etc unless otherwise stated.
Additional third party course material requested by client will be
charged at cost.
Expenses
Accommodation and reasonable subsistence for Optimise Consultancy
Ltd personnel will be charged at cost.
Travelling by road for Optimise Consultancy Ltd personnel will be
charged on a mileage basis from Optimise Offices to venue and
return. Train and air fares where appropriate will be charged at
cost.
All fees and other charges are subject to VAT at the current rate.
Cancellations
Cancellation by the client will incur the following penalties:-
Less than 5 working days Full Charge
Less than 10 working days 50% of Full Charge.
Less than 15 working days 30% of Full Charge
More than 15 working days No Charge Privacy Statement
Your right to privacy is important. The information you provide to
us will be kept confidential and will be used to support your
customer relationship only. It is not our intention to give or sell
this information to any outside company for any use.
Limitation of Liability
Every effort has been made to ensure complete and accurate
information concerning the materials presented in tutorials.
Companies, names and data used in examples are fictitious unless
otherwise noted.
In no event shall Optimise Consultancy Ltd be liable for any
indirect punitive, special or incidental damage (including loss of
business, revenue, profits, use, data or other economic advantage)
however it arises.
Customers have sole responsibility for adequate protection and
backup of data and/or equipment used in connection with the

and will not make a claim against Optimise Consultancy Ltd for lost

Director's Profile
Nick Curnick-Orrin BA (Hons) MIITT
Nick Curnick-Orrin is the lead trainer and managing director of
Optimise Consultancy Ltd.
Originally trained as a designer Nick moved into I.T. after
graduating, working in the area of technical support. He started
delivering I.T. training in 1991 and set up Optimise Consultancy Ltd
in 1994, delivering I.T. training and consultancy to medium and
large organisations throughout the UK.
Nick has considerable expertise in a wide range of software,
specialising in Microsoft products, and in particular Microsoft
Excel and Microsoft Project. In the last 5 years he has developed
his skills in the area of project management, delivering training
and consultancy to a number of prestigious clients such as Spirit
Group and West Midlands Fire & Rescue Service.
Nick prides himself in not only having a full understanding of the
product but of the process as well. He says…

In the last few years Nick has followed his interest in project and

PDR Generator & Analyser
The system was developed for a large organisation that has around
600 members of staff that required Personal Development Reviews.
Previously, each manager was sent an Excel spreadsheet that had
several pages of questions and spaces for answers.
As this information was gathered it was then cut and pasted into an
analysis sheet and some parts were used and others just kept on
record.
This was, as you can imagine very time consuming and offered little
in the way of analysis.
Optimise Consultancy Ltd developed a system that automatically
generates individual PDRs from a list of staff and managers at the
click of a button.
These can then be emailed to the particular managers for completion
by interview with the member of staff.
when the PDRs have been completed they can all be sent back, and at
the click of another button imported to an analysis workbook with
analysis pivot tables already set up and space for further analysis
if required.
The next set of PDRs can be generated from the data gathered in the
previous.
This system has been further developed and can now be tailored to
your organisation.
ERP Parachute
The ERP Parachute was developed as a backup system for a company.
They needed a system that emulated their existing ordering system so
that if they had a problem with their usual programme they could
switch over with minimal fuss.
The parachute has been installed and has had to be used in live
situations with considerable savings on 'down-time'.
