Pat has a Masters Degree in Education Management, an Honours Degree in Education and Biology and an HND in Computing Studies.Work History
Pat has worked as a primary school teacher, a computer analyst programmer, a computer systems manager and DBA, a school administration assistant, the Information Services Manager for a large organisation and as a pre-school music teacher.Small Business Experience.
Pat has run her own small business since 2004.In 2004 she bought the Monkey Music franchise for mid Staffordshire. Starting from scratch she built the business into a thriving concern teaching music to over 300 pre-school children each week and employing 3 teachers. In 2006 she was asked to become a mentor and teacher trainer by her franchisor Monkey Music Ltd. This role saw Pat assessing and advising her team of franchisees in teaching and business administration, while continuing to run her own expanding franchise.
In July 2008 she sold the successful business to one of her customers and started planning her new business, Buy the Hour, as a response to her own experiences as a small business owner.
Pat has been Company Secretary of her husband’s small business since1994, assisting him with a variety of business activities during this time. She has also run a joint property venture with her husband since December 2003.
